This introduction to Amin jazz blues includes 7 lessons, 1 head, 3 comping and 3 soloing with each lesson building on the next. These lessons will help you bridge the gap between blues and jazz. Start with Rich's original melody that's simple, hooky and fun to play making it a great theme to kick off your blues jams. In the comping lessons you will learn a typical jazz blues minor chord progression that more arrangements can be built upon. Use a 1-6-2-5 progression and play two chords in every measure to make your comping more interesting. In the solo lessons you will explore the use of target notes and arpeggios and learn to incorporate 3rds for solo construction.
