Alone Together is a jazz standard from a 1932 Broadway play that has been recorded by many top jazz artists through the years. Because of the song's many 2 5 1 progressions in minor it has a rather dark sound. The "A" sections have a surprise cadence which resolves to major in the last two bars of the section. This modal interchange makes it a favorite among jazz players. This is a great tune to practice improv in minor giving you opportunities to explore licks with Harmonic Minor & Diminished scales and arpeggios.
