Rich believes it's important for guitarists to work toward becoming a complete musician. One component of that is the ability to read and write music. The goal of the video is to get you started in that direction. The included PDF has 3 pages of oversized music staffs for you to begin this endeavor. The video begins with you writing the treble clef, then learning the names of each line and space. Rich then discusses extending the staff with ledger lines. We then proceed by writing the notes that span the guitar and finish by notating some major scales. Key signatures and the proper order of the sharps and flats are also covered.
